Krysti Pryde: Adventure Time

April 3, 2011

My dear friend San drew me as a character of one of my favorite shows, Adventure Time! It’s a dream come true – and i’d have to say its pretty accurate, even down to my red cowboy boots! San is an amazing friend and an amazing Illustrator, please go visit her site and marvel in how she is both so beautiful and talented!

8-bit Bastards.

December 9, 2010

A month ago, Tate’s Comics upstairs gallery Bear and Bird had a themed community art showing with the theme of “Childhood Fears”. They have a different theme every month and anyone is allowed to submit a piece for both show and sale. I recently bought this piece from the Childhood Fears gallery, and I am in love. The artist titled it “8-bit Bastards”.

Can you see me? Hi!

The artists name is “C.Cochran”. So, whoever you are C.Cochran – thanks a lot because I am in love with this.

The Art of Austin James.

September 15, 2010

I’ve known Austin for a while now, and while our friendship was namely that of dancing and running into each other at clubs, I always knew he was artsy, but It wasnt until a few months ago that I realized HOW artsy he was. When he posted this tribute to Alan Moore ( a personal favorite ) and Rick Veitch Superman/Swamp Thing story from 1985 – I nearly died. Not only is it obscure, but I feel Swamp Thing sort of died in popularity a while ago which breaks my heart since I was always really into Swamp Thing. He’s really just a peach of a creature. Anyhow, Check out Austins tribute below:

Austin is currently working on a neat comic called Florida Fresh. You can contact him for freelance work as well, which I think is totally worth it since i’ve seen a lot of party flyers he’s done for people and they are beyond amazing. Look at this gem:

He is a fancy art wizard with great hair and a +5 to dexterity when it comes to dancing. I hope you all take the time out to visit his art tumblr. Here are my favorite works by him:

Now go tell him how much you love him.

Paigey Pumphrey has Kitty Pryde.

September 12, 2010

I remember a while ago my friend San linked me to a blog she knew I would enjoy. It was the blog of Paigey Pumphrey. Full time babe and artist. I followed her for a while and recently was added by her on Twitter! My little fan girl heart was beating out of my chest, especially since a few days after being added, she posted a picture of her new Kitty Pryde tattoo! A girl after my own heart? Well beyond! Look how amazing:

I hope to one day join the same ranks of babely-ness and have a Kitty Pryde tattoo. I should really get on that.  Paigey is very much a character herself, I love her style, and if you go look at her blog, you’ll see she is probably the hottest Wonder Woman ever. Go visit her here!
